Punta Lace: slight and colourful as a Hummingbird

May 26th, 2010 by Mistica

I born in a country named by a river: Uruguay…. a word that means “river of painted birds” in the indigenous guaraní language, according to the interpretation of  Juan Zorrilla de San Martín, one of the main poets of our land.

Although we are very used to share our life with birds, it`s allways a surprising and inspiring image, watching the hummingbirds. The sun over their feathers makes them shine in a colour explosion of   flapping wings… that makes you wonder… any time… slightly and delicate… like ever… and forever

Punta Lace shares this spirit... this new yarn of Punta Yarns was specially developed for middle season, as slighty and colourful as hummingbirds… a yarn poem…

As per its spectacular softness, lightness, and assorted blends, knitting with Punta Lace is an artistic delight.

Maybe the increasing trekking tourism in our lands is relationed with the beauty of native birds and butterflies that people love so much… it is often found in the gardens, watering holes with flowers shapes just to make hummingbirds approach, proving that they stop flapping their wings sometimes… enjoying people eyes with their irisdicent bright colours… Perhaps you are not planning to visit Uruguay by now, but you will … just start knitting with Punta Yarns, and you really will consider it ;-)

About puntayarns.com

Inspired in one of the most beautiful and natural beach resorts in all South America: PUNTA DEL ESTE.
When we decided to present our yarn collection at retail we chose Punta del Este as the best name for our challenge not only because the founding partners are all lovers of the Resort, but because the concept matches very well with the kind of blends and yarns we present in all our collections.
